| Meet Liesl |
Liesl Dalpe was born and raised on a gentleman's farm in South Windsor, CT, along the CT river valley. After finishing her BFA, she worked as a sculptor for a stop-motion animation company Wreckless Abandon. When the company folded in 2006, she developed Phaze Studio, which grew from equine miniatures to a full blown portrait studio. She now works for Olson Development LLC, a luxury building company in Fairfield county where she is their Assistant Project Manager and responsible (among other things) for photography, design, promotional materials, and their website.
Horses have been a huge part of Liesl's life since the beginning. It was only natural for this to be her constant muse in her body of work; now along with people, pets, and the landscapes of the CT river valley where she grew up. She currently has two dogs, a cat, and a very spoiled horse which she shows on the Appaloosa circuit.
She is now offering classes focusing on the figure, and holiday classes creating art dolls.
Liesl currently lives in Vernon, CT. The studio is located at 1090 Main Street, and is by appointment only. |
